It's the year X55.

Avi and Aquila met again for the first time several years ago. Aquila has no recollection of their previous meetings. Avi has fully integrated into the fabric of the island Aquila protects, Noxalia.

But islands that have always had protection by seemingly-immortal ancient warriors are attractive targets to a certain class of madman.

Here, Avi witnesses the transformation of a recent friend into one of those madmen.

What follows is two consecutive strips printed in an imaginary national newspaper in the summer of X55, which in actuality, of course, never could have happened.
