Lair of the Lost
Shining her flashlight deep into the cavern, Aquila leads the way. Rubble, dust, and webs both cob and spider tell a tale of abandonment and disrepair. A people lived here, very much in the past tense.
Letting her eyes adjust to the darkness, the first thing Avi notices is a column.
"Greek," Aquila finishes Avi's thought. "Ionic, I think. Greek styles of architecture recur throughout history, though, obviously."
"Obviously. I do have one question, though."
"Which Greek architectural style," Avi asks, "invented Japanese temple walls, exactly?"
