Commentary:

It took us a second to figure out how to do a crossover -- Centurion is, after all, set in a 2075 that's incompatible with the world of Avi & Aquila. Eventually we settled on what I think of as Image Comics crossover rules -- what happens inside the crossover is true to both continuities, while we make no statement about the canonicity of what happens outside of it. Does that make sense?

This 6-pager is a crossover with WHO KILLED THE CENTURION?, my friend David's novel, which I, as its editor, contributed enough to that I have a cover credit. The story is his, many of the jokes are mine. It's available on Amazon now.

The man in white and his friend continue talking.
"And don't you judge me."
"...You fell asleep while smoking in the bath?? Really?"
"Can I help you folks?" Avi sticks her head into the hall. "You look... lost."
"And you look familiar," says the man in the white.
"Dick? Eddie?" asks Aquila, also sticking her head into the hall.
"You know these two, Aquila?"
"Aquila?"
"I... think I might."
"Wait, that must mean..."
"You're Avi, and Aquila the Last Eagle," says the man in white. "I used to read about you when I was just a kid.
"Hi," says his friend.
"Avi," announces Aquila, "meet Special Agent Dick Schwartz, and his friend, Agent Eddie Gagnon. They're from the book I was just reading."
