“Hold this, and tell me if it returns blue,” Doc Robin says, on a nice sunny day at their house.
““Returns blue,” what does that mean?” asks Annie, sitting in a bathtub in Doc Robin’s front room. “I’ve heard people say it before.” The bathtub has a showerhead and a control panel attached to it. Annie is also holding an orb with two wires sticking out of it, and a red light on it.
“When the circuit completes, when everything connects, that’s when the blue light comes on.”
“Right, but why blue? And why is it such a common construction on the island?”
Climbing up to the roof through the window, Doc Robin says “Not really thought about it in a few years, but you do see it everywhere, you’re right. It’s just sort of a hallmark of Ancient Future tech, I guess.”
“”Ancient Future tech—“ Annie says, disgruntled, “Doc, somehow you’re managing to unexplain it.”
The light on the orb is returning blue.
