Aquila sits down on a bench in Avi's office, and puts her hand on a deck of cards. "When you get like this, all you do is make noises and not do things. You need to do something else. This is what the deck is for."
"aurghrnt," Avi grunts, pulling a face.
"Yes, noises like that."
"I hate the deck."
"You invented the deck." Having pulled a card, Aquila reads, "'Aquila tells a story about meeting someone.'"
"Oh," Avi realises, "I can do that one."
"Because you won't have to do anything."
"Exactly."
"But haven't I heard all of your stories?"
"Not even close. And I call this one..."
