"There's no sensor on my back," Avi says, defiantly, the lasergun to the back of his head.
"You'll never make the turn fast enough," says Aquila, "But wouldn't you like to try? Or do you see another way out?"
Avi sweats profusely as he tries to think of one, but doesn't need to. Aquila gets thrown to the side, dropping her lasergun, as she gets shot in the shoulder pad from the right.
"Any regrets?" asks the lasershooter.
"Besides agreeing to wear the joint-locking pads?" Aquila says, her right shoulder locked in place by the shot. "You tell me."
"What?" Annie, the lasershooter, says, seconds before taking a laser to the chest. "Aw dinger."
