Avi and Aquila in The Broken Man
It’s a beautiful, cloudless day on Nox Islia, and the new mayor is paying Avi and Aquila a visit in the Castle. It’s not a friendly visit.
“I don’t want to be difficult, Aquila, but please no more wild poison plants. If you must, at least put a fence around them.”
“Or what?”
“Or I’ll ask what you need poisons for.”
“...I will think about a fence.”
Avi interrupts them. “Babe, you’ve got an email.”
“You read her email?”
“I don’t have email.”
“She forgets she has email.”
Aquila seriously considers the grave implications of this for a second, then earnestly says, almost more to herself, “I really don’t think I have email.”
“Just read the email!!”
